The Art and Stories of Yuyi Morales

Saturday, October 5th, 10 am

Mexican-born author, artist and storyteller Yuyi Morales spoke little English when she moved to California with her American husband and young son and missed her family and friends. To lift her spirits, her mother-in-law encouraged Yuyi to visit the public library.

Sunday Fun-Day at the Bellevue Library!

Oct. 6 marks our celebration Sunday!We will be having great programs to welcome you back into our Sunday schedules here at the DC Public Library. As a result of our new and expanded hours, the William O. Lockridge/Bellevue Neighborhood Library will now be open Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Sept. 22 through Sept. 28, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., come on in and play some Banned Books Week trivia.Then we will look at the illustrations and write down what you think is wrong with each book. Once you have completed your investigation, then we will discuss the reason why the books are banned.
