Are e-books a good deal?

This week, a Manhattan judge ruled that Apple conspired with five major book publishers to keep e-book prices high. The judge said Apple's deals with the publishers caused some e-book prices to rise 50 percent or more virtually overnight.

Apple has denied the charges and says it will appeal the ruling; the publishers settled to avoid a trial.

What do you think? Are e-books a good deal, or are the prices too high?
