Computer games are cool, but Wil Wheaton has taken to the Internet to tell you how awesome tabletop games are too. Mt. Pleasant Library has taken up his mission, and we're hosting a day of gaming in the library as part of a round of games in homes, coffee shops, community centers, game shops and libraries across the globe.
Are you interested in playing Chess?We have chess sets available for use during normal operating hours. Come to the desk in Popular Services and pick one up!For beginners, advanced, or just curious players, the "game of kings" offers endless hours of fun and can be highly educational. All ages are welcome.
We're excited about participating in this years International TableTop Day!International TableTop Day is a day of celebration for fans of tabletop gaming.It's envisioned as a single day where the world comes together for the common purpose of spending time together and having fun.
From Feb. 1 through April 15, you can meet with a qualified tax aide from Community Tax Aid who can help answer your questions and prepare your 2013 filing. Program is limited to individuals with less than $35,000 in income (taxable and non-taxable) and Families with less than $52,000 in income (taxable and non-taxable).Tax sessions at MLK are available:Mondays-Wednesdays, 4:30-8 p.m.Thursdays, 1:30-4:30 p.m.Saturdays, 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.Sundays, 1-4 p.m.Rooms A-9 and A-10.
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is available free to taxpayers with low and moderate income, with special attention to those 60 and older. Through a cadre of trained volunteers, AARP Foundation Tax-Aide has helped low- to moderate-income individuals for more than 40 years in every state and the District of Columbia.Come and meet with a trained AARP tax aide provider today.Service available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Join us every Saturday from 10:00am to 11:00am for Adult Yoga Class.Wear some comfortable clothing and bring a mat, but if you don’t have one, yoga mats are available for use during the class.The classes are taught by Yoga Activist and are held on the lower level of the library in the Larger Meeting Room.This class is free and open to the public.
Yoga at Your Library is a beginner level yoga class for adults and teens brought to you courtesy of Yoga Activist.No experience is required. The class is free.You can bring your own mat, but if you don’t have one, yoga mats are available for use during the class.

All ages are invited to play all kinds of games at the Petworth Library for International TableTop Day! We'll have board games, card games, and more for all ages and skill levels. Don't think we'll have your favorite game? Feel free to bring it and teach it to others! The event will be in the Meeting Room, 1-4 p.m.
Saturday Technology Training Sessions are on the first and third Saturday of each month with a few exceptions for holidays. They are held from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. in the Adaptive Services Division, Room 215.
