For beginners, advanced, or just curious players, the "game of kings" offers endless hours of fun and can be highly educational. All ages are welcome.

Every year, Mt. Pleasant hosts a public art exhibition of work by local students, so everyone in the community can see what talented kids we have in our midst!

Stop by the Children's Room on the second floor to view selected works from the 2014 Mt. Pleasant Youth Arts Fair. This year's theme is "New in Mount Pleasant."

The show is featured here at the library and at surrounding local businesses.

Introduce your child to a love of reading and the library at our weekly Wednesday story times. Each week enjoy adapted stories, songs and movement activities that engage children.

Ages birth-36 months.

This is also the open call for class and daycare groups.

Students learn Microsoft PowerPoint 2010, as well as job readiness skills. This two-hour class meets twice a week for four weeks. 

Prerequisite: PC for Beginners 1 and 2 or successful completion of placement test. Pre-registration is required.

The Job Seekers Clinic at Shepherd Park Library meets on Wednesdays, once a week, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

  • Work on an online application
