Northwest One Library

For the first two weeks of June, drop by Northwest One Neighborhood Library and tell us what makes you proud to be lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans*, queer, or an ally and get a button to show off your Pride. Get one early enough and you can wear it during Capital Pride week!

Come to the desk in Popular Services and pick one up!For beginners, advanced, or just curious players, the "game of kings" offers endless hours of fun and can be highly educational. All ages are welcome.

PC for Beginners 1

In this course, students learn the parts of the computer, mouse basics, typing, Internet search and electronic mail. This two-hour class meets twice per week for five weeks. Prerequisite: none. Pre-registration is required.To register for classes, please call Byte Back at 202-529-3395 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.  When registration is closed, you may contact Byte Back to join our calling list. ByteBack will call all interested students next time registration begins.

Students learn Microsoft Word 2010, as well as job readiness skills. This two-hour class meets twice a week for four weeks.Prerequisite: PC for Beginners 1 and 2 or successful completion of placement test. Pre-registration is required.To register for classes, please call Byte Back at 202-529-3395 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Baby/Toddler Lap Time

Baby/toddler lap times are story times geared for babies ages birth to 24 months and their caregivers.Free tickets are required for entry, and can be obtained 10 minutes before the start of the program in the upstairs reading room.
