Beginning in April, start the week off right by getting your homework out of the way. Every Monday there will be a knowledgeable adult here to help you figure out what to do once you've divided something by its circumference.

Baby Lap TimeJoin us for nursery rhymes, songs, bounces, and stories for babies!  This program is interactive for baby and caregiver, and helps babies to develop an awareness for language and books. 

Looking for some great books for your child?  Try D.C. Public Library's Suggested Books for Pre-K, or Fred Rogers Company's Best Books for Babies list!

It's Wednesday afternoon; need a mid-week break from the summer heat? Come by the Palisades Library to watch a teen movie!
If you've never been to the Palisades, you can earn your Library Love Badge for Summer Reading

An activity will be available at 3 p.m.; movies will begin at 3:30 p.m. and be rated PG or PG-13. Snacks will be provided.

Cover for El Deafo, the book featured in this event Author and illustrator CeCe Bell will visit to talk about her new book, EL Deafo, a graphic novel that describes her experiences growing up hearing impaired in the 1970's. As a child, Cece felt like she was a superhero with the special powers from her hearing aid. So she called herself, "El Deafo."

Author and illustrator Cece Bell has produced several books in the past and has even garnered a Geisel Honor for one of her books, Rabbit and Robot.

Come enjoy refreshments and hear about the fanstastic graphic novel, 
El Deafo and its zesty creator. This event is recommended for ages 7-12.
