photo of wormsJoin us and learn how to start your own worm bin and maintain a fabulous home-composting system. We will discuss the benefits of vermiculture and how easy it is to do in virtually any type of living environment. Topics covered include: Choosing worms, what they can eat, how to use the compost that you create and composting all year.

One lucky attendee will be able to keep the bin that we make during our demo.

Recommended for ages 4 and under, this 45-minute class is focused on the growing mobility of the child as they move to crawling, standing and walking.  There will be rhymes, songs, games, and yoga poses geared toward their development.  

This class is limited to 15 children. Free tickets will be given out on a first come, first served basis.  

An adult must participate with the child but no previous yoga experience is required.  Yoga mats are also not required.

Ditch the workout and join the party!  Zumba combines Latin and international music with a fun and effective workout system.

This class will be led by Library Associate and certified Zumba instructor, Christine.  

No experience is necessary, but all participants must sign a waiver. Come comfortably dressed for moving.

Come by the Southeast Neighborhood Library for a overview of the basic functions of Microsoft Word. We will be going over how to use the Microsoft Word “Ribbon” effectively, how to format your document, and how to finalize your document once you are finished.

Their will be limited computers available for use, so bring your own if you can. Seating without computers will be provided.

Zines are DIY, self-published magazines that contain pretty much anything -- comics, book or music reviews, stories, collages, whatever you want. We'll provide the paper, old magazines and books, pens and markers, scissors, glue, and tape; you provide the imagination! Feel free to bring zines to give away or swap.
