Afterlife with Archie CoverWhen Jughead's beloved pet Hot Dog is killed in a hit and run, he turns to the only person who can help bring back his furry best friend -- Sabrina the Teenage Witch.

Using dark magic, Sabrina returns Hot Dog to the land of the living. But he's not the same ... and as the dead begin to rise, it's up to Archie, Betty, Veronica and the Gang to fight for their lives against the zombie hordes led by their former pal, Jughead!

Join us for a spooky book discussion of Afterlife with Archie!

Feb. 12: Beatles' First U.S. Show, Washington Coliseum, 50th Anniversary
Before they were on Ed Sullivan or anyplace else in the United States, the Beatles' first gig was at the Washington Coliseum (3rd & M streets NE) on Feb. 11, 1964. We'll screen the show in its entirety (spoiler alert: The Beatles kill it!) and have a conversation with those who were there firsthand... or wish they were!

Aug. 21:  Ft. Reno, A History
The legendary, free, summer concert series has a forty year history. We intend to some show concert footage, still photography and have first hand accounts from those onstage, backstage and in the audience. With organizer Amanda MacKaye and others.

Oct. 9: Hard Art, 1979 -- Behind the Book
This great book of Pulitzer Prize winner Lucian Perkins' photography (writing, Alec MacKaye, contribution by Henry Rollins) captures part of the birth of DC punk in a beautiful way. With the help of those who were there (details to follow) we'll attempt to make those images come to life through music, conversation and film clips.

Dec. 11: An Evening With Jeff Krulik, Music Documentary Filmmaker
A special evening with filmmaker Jeff Krulik. He's much more than the brilliant Heavy Metal Parking Lot-- although that'd be enough.
