AALEAD Workshops for Middle and High School Students

AALEAD is an after-school program for middle and high school students with workshops on leadership development, educational empowerment, and community. We’ll be meeting after school every week on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3 – 6 p.m. Feb. 18 through August for different activities to hone our leadership skills, technology chops, and other important life skills. Join us!

Come to the Afterschool Lounge on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and use the library's large conference room as a group study room, game space, lounge and snack area. Board and card games are available. Food and drinks are welcome.  Crafts, trivia tournaments, video games, and other activities will be available on a rotating basis. Ages 11-19.

The principal language of Ethiopia, Amharic is a Semitic language belonging to the Afro-Asiatic family of languages. It takes its name from Amhara, a central province in Ethiopia and is the second-most spoken Semitic language in the world, after Arabic.   Learn the basics of this fascinating language with Ms. Yacob, every Friday afternoon in Conference Room 1 on the lower level. All ages are welcome!
