In April, Kid’s Night will feature a variety of programs focued on the arts in honor of National Poetry Month and Jazz Appreciation Month. April 6 Acrostic Poems Learn about differnt types of poetry try your hand at writing an acrostic poem. April 13 LEGO Poetry Combine words and LEGO bricks to build your own poems

Are you up to the challenge? Use your creative engineering skills to make buildings out of newspaper, just like Rose from Brian Selznick's Wonderstruck.  The challenges will include building towers from limited materials with the goal of creating the tallest and strongest buildings.

Ever wondered what it would be like to create your own LEGO figure? If you have a love for LEGOs and want to try a fun craft, then stop on by! We will create a LEGO head for you to take home. Get your crafting skills on and don't forget to check us out throughout April as we celebrate LEGOs all month long.   Please note, however, that this program involves the use of some craft supplies that require safe handling, so it is recommended that parents or caregivers supervise children during this activity.
