These 20-30 minute programs are full of books, songs and art activities that  are designed to help develop your child’s language and motor skills. After storytime, your child will participate in a process-oriented art project to explore art materials and the world around them. Process-oriented art focuses on what can be learned from the act of making art rather than the product.

Hand - Sewing Crafts for Kids

Introduction to sewing and fabric crafts is a class for boys and girls. In this class children will be introduced to threading a needle, sewing a button, basic stitching. Children get to personalize each project through color selection, technique, and embellishments. The children will complete a small sewing and craft project.

It's My Body! Art and Movement Workshop

This workshop complements the D.C.Rape Crisis Center's Good Touch Bad Touch sexual abuse prevention curriculum for pre-school through sixth grade students. It is designed to create a shared learning experience between adults and youth. The workshop incorporates theater, art and games to explore the concepts of expression, communication and boundaries.
