DC Bike Man Flag Image

As more cities work to support active transportation modes such as bicycling, they pose questions about the role of infrastructure in community change. Should planners work with existing communities when developing projects for future use? Can "complete streets" remain affordable in a property system that rewards trendiness and perceived safety? What does community-based bike promotion look like?

Join a panel of bicycling and urban development experts as they discuss how bicycling has been a part of community change in the District.
