Meditation Yoga

Start your Saturdays with Carol, Marjorie and some relaxing, stress-free yoga. Everyone is welcome, beginners especially! Please wear comfortable clothing and bring water. Bring your own yoga mat or use one of ours (limited availability). A signed waiver form is required.

The Practice With Love classes aim to create an accessible space for all people to tune into their breath while enjoying the amazing spaces around our beautiful city. WithLoveDC is thrilled to bring their free yoga gatherings to the Southeast Library; come flow with us!

Eyes-Free Yoga

Instructors from the Metro Washington Association of Blind Athletes will lead a yoga class for people who are blind or visually impaired. The class will maximize verbal description and hands-on assistance with yoga poses. Participants can bring their own mats, but other yoga accessories that will help participants achieve and hold the poses comfortably will be provided. Class will be held on the lower level in room A10, from 1:30 p.m.

What is Diabetes? What are some of its precursors?  Join Dr. Diane Collins, a Naturopathic Doctor at the Collins Wellness Center, as she teaches us how to become "fat and calorie detectives." We'll learn how to properly read food labels, identify a healthy meal, and talk about the types of food we need to eat to prevent Diabetes.
