Come hang out with your friends and enjoy a variety of activities all about gaming!   Monday, Jan. 5 - Wii! Play Wii games with friends. Monday, Jan. 12 - Sploder! Learn how to design your own video game. Monday, Jan. 26 - Life Size Chutes & Ladders! Turn the library into a giant game board. These events are recommended for children ages 6-12. Each event will take place in the Children's Room on the second floor of the library.

Black Space with Holly Bass

Black Space is an art exhibition by Holly Bass in the Great Hall of the MLK Library. Black Space is a tiny house in the shape of the District, which has been a center of Black culture since the early 1900s. As D.C. residents, we all occupy black space, regardless of ethnicity or background. Visitors will be invited to share their D.C. memories with the artist and create collaborative responses – photographs, poems, sketches, and oral histories, which will be catalogued and displayed in the house.
