Writing Workshop and Q & A with Kathryn Erskine 

Kathryn Erskine photoKathryn ErskineKathryn Erskine is the author of five children’s novels including National Book Award winner, Mockingbird, the recent Jane Addams Peace Award honor book Seeing Red, and her upcoming release, The Badger Knight.  She draws on her life stories and world events in her writing and is  currently working on several more novels and picture books.   

Ms. Erskine will be  leading a writing workshop, which will be followed by a Q & A.  The workshop will focus on how to develop characters that readers will really care about and that will pop right off the page.

Where:  The Georgetown Library

For Who:  Anyone over the age of 8 interested in writing and talking to a National Book Award winning author.

Introduce your child to a love of reading and the library at our weekly Wednesday story times. Each week enjoy adapted stories, songs and movement activities that engage children.

Ages birth-36 months.

Story time for ages 3-5 featuring picture books, storytelling and movement.

This is also the open call for class and daycare groups.

If your daycare cannot make this story time, please call 202-727-0971 to schedule a different time.

For safety's sake, there is a limit of 75 participants for each story time.

Please note that 10:30 a.m. Baby Time will be ticketed to a maximum of 60 people. Tickets are available for free at the Children's Desk, starting at 9:30 a.m.

The second Baby Time at 11:00 a.m. will be the same program but will be open admission.
