This interactive, multi-media exhibit for all ages celebrates the bookmaking of children’s author and illustrator, Brian Selznick—his exquisite artistry, experimentation with form and narrative and spellbinding storytelling. Stop by the Children's Room on the second floor to view selected works from the 2015 Mt. Pleasant Youth Arts Fair. This year's theme is "Heroes of Mt. Pleasant." The show is featured here at the library and at surrounding local businesses.

A Million Thanks: Letter Writing to Veterans

Join us to write letters and draw pictures thanking veterans and current members of the U.S. military for their service! We'll be sending the letters through the nonprofit A Million Thanks. A perfect way to celebrate Memorial Day and to honor their sacrifices.  Children younger than 9 must be accompanied by an adult. For more information, call 202-724-4691.
