Join our Braille Book Club for Kids which is for children in grades 1-6 (and their parents) who are Braille readers. This program is sponsored in partnership with Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind.

The Braille Book Club for Kids meets the first Saturday of every month, at 11 a.m. (except holidays or as advertised) in the Adaptive Services Division, Room 215.

If reading and talking about popular books sounds like fun, our Reading Diva's Book Club is for you! The club meets twice a month on Sunday here at Capitol View Library. Our group is lead by Mrs. Wendy, and she loves to see new faces. The girls are working on contacting their favorite authors and putting on a play about the books they have read. Join us for some exciting reading fun in September. Girls ages 10-13 are invited to attend.

Matilda bookJoin Rosedale's Reel Reading Book Club! Kids read a book and then on the last Tuesday of each month they watch the movie that the book inspired, or the movie that inspired the book. Kids can enjoy a brief group discussion as well!

June's book selection is Roald Dahl's Matilda, which inspired a movie of the same name!

5:00 p.m.

Kid's ages 9 and up are invited to read our monthly graphic novel selection and then join us to discuss the book. September's book is Astronaut Academy: Zero Gravity  by Dave Roman. Books are available for check out at the information desk. Please call 202-282-3073 to register.
