Children and their families will get to enjoy the classic musical, Mary Poppins, about two children whose nanny turns out to be very special, as well as learn a little about P.L. Travers, the author of the popular Mary Poppins series and other childhood classics!

On the last Thursday of every month at 4pm children will do different science experiments, learn the principles behind them and then watch a related movie. Program will run for the school year and is appropriate for 6-12 year old children. For information about the next experiment and movie please come by the Georgetown Children's Room and ask a librarian!

Matilda bookJoin Rosedale's Reel Reading Book Club! Kids read a book and then on the last Tuesday of each month they watch the movie that the book inspired, or the movie that inspired the book. Kids can enjoy a brief group discussion as well!

June's book selection is Roald Dahl's Matilda, which inspired a movie of the same name!

There will be a special showing of a several short films of stories by James Marshall, author and illustrator of the George and Martha series and several adaptations of popular fairy tales.
