bill nye cover imageEvery Friday afternoon, we'll be showing two episodes of Bill Nye the Science Guy, the show that makes science fun for kids!

This program will take place in the Children's Story Circle and is open to kids ages 8-12.

3:00 p.m.

On Fridays at 3 p.m. children will do different science experiments and learn the principles behind them and then watch a related movie. Program will run from July 11 to August 22 (7 programs total) and is appropriate for 6-12 year old children. For information about the next experiment and movie please come by the Georgetown Children's Room and ask a librarian!

Fridays at 4 p.m.

Recommended for all ages.

Jim Henson statue It's Snuffleupagus' birthday! What a great opportunity to learn more about the wonderful creatures created by Jim Henson and the Jim Henson workshop. We will have a short informal discussion concerning puppetry and then watch a movie. Light refreshments will be served. For ages 6 and up.

We can't reveal the title here, but this family-friendly documentary explores all corners of the Earth, celebrating its beauty, and highlighting the unique animals that live in each region.  The movie also flows in chronological order, showing how animal behavior changes with the seasons.  Travel around the world with us!

You bring the family, and we'll bring the popcorn!

RobotCelebrate the end of summer! From 2-5:30 p.m. we'll have fun activities in the Children's Room including crafts, games, music, and a movie! Don't forget to bring your Summer Reading logs in to claim your prizes! Children of all ages and their families are welcome to attend.
