"Whatever the cost of our libraries, it is cheaper than the cost of an ignorant nation." - Walter Cronkite

This month the Chevy Chase Branch Library features a display of photographs of public libraries around the world.   You may be surprised to see some of the incredible architecture of the libraries, and your heart may be warmed by the good news of wonderful new libraries in places such as Kigali, Rwanda, and Medellin, Colombia.   If you haven't seen the astonishing new libraries in Seattle, Salt Lake City, and Vancouver, British Columbia, you should be sure to come by and see them!

Check out our video preview of the display.

‘Tis the season… to wear my warm, woolly sweater and to scratch my backside on the Christmas tree! Oh, the joys! Not to mention the increase number of naps per day.
