BMW X1 makes U.S debut at NY Auto Show

BMW is set to unveil their smallest U.S crossover vehicle yet, the 2013 X1, at the 2012 New York International Auto Show.
The BMW X1 will be available in two flavors. The Drive28i will sport a twin-turbo, four-cylinder engine with a 240-horsepower output with either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The xDrive35i comes in a twin-turbo six-cylinder engine with 300 horsepower with only all-wheel drive.
The latter engine features stop/start and regenerative braking systems to optimize fuel economy. No word yet on fuel economy.
The BMW X1 sDrive28i starts at $31,545, the X1 xDrive28i at $33,245 and the X1 xDrive35i at $39,345.
BMW says the vehicle is set to hit U.S dealerships this fall.
