March 28 Fiber Arts Workshop

The next meeting of the Fiber Arts Workshop will be Thursday, March 28 at 7 p.m.  Socks seem to be the predominate on-going projects, but if that's not your interest, don't let it keep you away.  We're having some interesting discussions of matching fibers to projects, experimenting with the effect of needle sizes (not just for making gauges), and how dye affects texture.

On March 4, 1837, the Illinois state legislature enacted a city charter for Chicago.At the time, Chicago was a different place than we would recognize today. The population was over 4,000, according to the 1840 federal census.
