Job Clinic

Neighboring Now Ward 7 and Deanwood Library offer a free job clinic on Saturday, February 26, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on Saturday, March 5, from 1 to 3 p.m."Life Happens... Are You Ready?"   is a Greater DC Cares Neighboring Now Initiative program.One-on-one volunteer job coaches will assist the unemployed and underemployed with the tools they need to search for jobs as well as teaching interview techniques to gain and maintain employment.

Computer Classes

Every Tuesday and Thursday in the computer lab 9:00am-10:00amClasses are customized to the students attending.Computer basics, Microsoft Word 2007, and more.

Deanwood Nonfiction Book Group

Love reading nonfiction books?  Come and join us on Wednesday, August 31st, at 6:30 p.m. We will be discussing the book The Happiest Man in the World by Bill Bryson.

Santa Claus's Gift to You

Free RIF Books will given out to children. Starting Monday, December 13, through Thursday, December 23, during normal library hours.  One book per visit. 

Teens Hip-Hop Social Club

Know the latest songs, rap, dress or free-style?  Come join us every Monday and Wednesday from 3:30-4:30 pm.  Ages 13-19 years.

Young Adult Writing Club

Interested in being a poet or writer? Do you keep a diary, write stories, or poetry?Come and join our Young Adult Writing Club; meet new friends and old with a common interest.  We will meet every Friday at 3:30 p.m. starting in January.  Please call for more information.
