Emancipation Day Hours

A neighborhood library will be open in each ward on Tuesday, Apr. 16 in observance of Emancipation Day. Neighborhood libraries will be open from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. The Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library will be open from 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Francis A. Gregory Library

Named after local community leader Francis A. Gregory, Francis Gregory Library is located in residential, tree-lined Hillcrest, Washington, DC. The newly renovated building, which opened in 2010, was designed by architect Sir David Adjaye, and serves as a hub for education and technology.
