    Presented by the National Children's Museum

    The National Children’s Museum is offering a free parent/child workshop at Shepherd Park Library.  The workshop is based on their book, Family Literacy Projects on a Budget. The workshop will be held from 6-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 16.  Museum staff will present reading activities and ideas for complementary creative art projects using recycled materials. The National Children's Museum will provide materials for the projects. The workshop is open to everyone in the community and appropriate for all ages.

    Preschool Story Time for 3-5 year olds is at 10 a.m.
    Baby/Toddler Lap Time for children under 3 is at 11 a.m.

    Through the Testing and Education Reference Center, the library offers three timed, full-length GED practice tests in English and two in Spanish.

    The site also provides Master the GED, a book with subject reviews, test-taking tips and test strategies.  Other resources on the site are Word of the Day, a Quick Quiz, Tips and Strategies, and Test Info, Dates and Deadlines.
