Bishop celebrates Southampton basilica church
Long Island has its first Roman Catholic basilica. During a Mass and dedication ceremony Sunday morning, Diocese of Rockville Centre Bishop William Murphy inaugurated the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Church in Southampton into a minor basilica.
