The Island Park, N.Y. Residential and Business Hurricane Relief Fund is providing grants to residents and businesses affected by superstorm Sandy.
There is $15,000 available for grants. Each grant recipient will receive up to $500. The deadline to submit residential and business applications is May 20.
The relief fund was started in late November by Glenn J. Ingoglia, president of the Island Park Chamber of Commerce, at Mayor James Ruzicka’s request. Ingoglia is working with four other residents, community leaders and business owners who suffered damage to their homes and businesses.
