State Sen. Flanagan hosts budget discussions

Flanagan, 49, of East Northport, was elected to the State Senate in 2002 after serving 16 years in the Assembly.
State Sen. John Flanagan (R-East Northport) will discuss the state budget and economic recovery issues in three town hall-style meetings.
The first is set for Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Half Hollow Hills Public Library, 55 Vanderbilt Pkwy., Dix Hills.
The other meetings will be Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Nesconset branch of the Smithtown library at 148 Smithtown Blvd., and Feb. 2 at 7 p.m. at Middle Country Public Library, 101 East Wood Blvd., Centereach.
Flanagan, chairman of the Senate Education Committee, will talk on budget issues and tax reduction, according to a news release from his office. He then will take questions from the audience, the release said.
