The Aspiring Writers Circle meets on the second Tuesday of every month in the Digital Commons at 6 p.m.
A place for peer support and networking for new and emerging writers, the Circle is open to Playwrights and Poets, Bloggers and Freelancers, Children’s authors and Graphic Novelists, Fiction and Nonfiction writers.

Join DC Public Library librarians on the third Wednesday of each month at Gordon Biersch Brewery for a modern-day book club. Books & Bars is a book club that promises great food, drinks, a comfortable atmosphere, and great discussion on today’s most intriguing books.
Learn the basics of audio storytelling! The workshop will consist of four one-hour classes meeting once a week for three consecutive weeks in the Digital Commons.
Each student must sign up for the program ahead of time and agree to come to each class, as the information will be cumulative. Students should also bring their own smartphone, laptop with a microphone, or digital recorder to class to later classes.
