Heat advisory for Nassau as temps to soar
A heat advisory is in effect Monday afternoon and evening for Nassau County, as an anticipated heat wave brings "high levels of heat and humidity" to Long Island, forecasters said.
The advisory, in effect from noon to 8 p.m., means it could feel like at least 100 degrees for two consecutive hours, according to the National Weather Service.
