Myrna Yvette Peralta
Myrna Peralta has more than 30 years experience at the local, national and international levels in the areas of leadership development, diversity training, strategic planning, program development and community revitalization. As co-founder and president of ALTA Consulting Group, Inc., she works with nonprofit organizations, private companies and public agencies on project designs, project management, fundraising and project evaluations. Peralta has considerable leadership and technical assistance experience after serving for almost 10 years as a supervisor, trainer, and delegate on local, national and international disaster operations for the American Red Cross.
As a complement to her professional work, Peralta believes in volunteer service. She currently serves on the District of Columbia Library Board of Trustees. Over the years, Peralta has also served as a board member of the D.C. Children and Youth Investment Trust Corporation, the Washington Area Community Investment Fund and the Community Services Fund of the United Way of the National Capital Area.
Peralta earned her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville and received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
