DC Loves to Read Day, October 2

DC Loves to Read Day is just around the corner. Come Read-In at the library on Saturday, October 2, to celebrate the pleasure of books and reading . Northwest One Neighborhood Library will have snacks, fun crafts, story time and a poetry reading!
10 a.m. - 1p.m.: Literary Graffiti Wall
Draw your favorite character from a book, write your favorite line or just doodle away on our graffiti wall. All supplies are provided.
10 a.m. - 12 noon: Story Petting Zoo
Stop in for some fun for the whole family with this interactive puppet and flannel board story time!
12 noon - 1 p.m.: Truth Thomas Poetry Reading
Join us for a reading with Tidal Basin Press author Truth Thomas. He will read selections from his new book of poetry: Bottle of Life.
1 p.m. - 4 p.m.: Strike-A-Prose Photo Booth
Dress up like your favorite storybook character, and pose with a book or some crazy props in our makeshift photo booth! Photos will go up on this site.
