Black Voices Book Club

Dear Neighbors,

You are invited to join the Black Voices Book Club at the Juanita E. Thornton Shepherd Park Library. The club was started in September 2009 and has since grown both in membership and quality. Diverse, committed, and energetic, the group meets on the third Monday of every month at 7:00 pm on the second floor of the library.

The book club focuses on novels by African-American, Caribbean, and African authors living in different parts of the world. There is still time for you to join us as we discuss our fourteenth book, Half of a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie on Monday, November 15, 2010 at 7:00pm. To learn more about this author, past books read, and more, please become our fan on Facebook by searching for "Black Voices Book Club - Juanita E. Thornton / Shepherd Park Library".

We look forward to your joining us on November 15!
