Floppy ears. Wheee-eeee. Dr. Seuss feet. Hee. Hee. It’s me. Pup-a-Roo. Two years old and PAL certified. I am the man!
I love kisses. I love books. I love kids, and I love you (particularly if you are wearing chapstick!).
The library night stared off with the usual greetings, guest dog stories and then a book. And then (drum roll, please!), Miss Julie (with the generous help of the Friends of the Chevy Chase Library ) surprised me with a little silver medallion with my name engraved and the official title of Reading Specialist. My eyes bulged with disbelief. For me?! Yeah!
For books, I heard Puppy Love by Dick King-Smith, which was rather fitting as I couldn’t help but notice how fine little Miss Ava looked tonight (I think I have a crush. Shhh… don’t tell anyone!) and Martha Blah Blah by Susan Meddaugh. What a clever dog that Martha is!
Until the next time!
