Premiere of "A Streetcar Named Desire"

The play "Streetcar Named Desire", by Tennessee Williams, premiered in December, 1947, starring Jessica Tandy and Marlon Brando, and went on to win the Pulitzer Prize for Drama the next year.  "Streetcar" was Williams' second critical success, following "The Glass Menagerie", which premiered in 1944-45.  To learn more about Williams and read some of his other writings, come see the display at Palisades Library.
