From Harpo’s Diary: Wednesday December 15, 2010
HELLO! It’s Harpo -- Larger than life Labrodoodle. I am a bit of a goofball. I (accidentally) blaze a trail of destruction, leaving a little “Harpo” behind wherever I go. My first little oopsie of the night... Miss Julie had neatly laid-out little craft stations for the children to work on their projects. Being a rather large, slightly clumsy fellow, curious about his surroundings, I thought I’d inspect each and every station. Seems my tail wasn’t always following the rest of me as I meandered through the tables, swiping them clean of crafts! I tried to make up for it by giving Miss Julie lots of extra love. I even played Footsies with her! The next thing I knew, Miss Julie was covered in Harpo hair! Oh, Dear. It's a good thing Miss Julie likes me so much or I'd be up a creek without a paddle (I don't really know what that means though it does sound like a precarious predicament).
Oh, good news! I finally got measured! According to the ruler, my nose is 4” long. I am 26” tall and between 52-57” long. Who knew?!
More good news!! All of the PAL dogs received a special holiday gift tonight, thanks to the Friends of the Chevy Chase Library. I had to ask my owner to help me put it on because without thumbs that's as tricky as trying to turn a page in a book!
Speaking of books, tonight I heard; Time to Sleep Sheep the Sheep by Mo Willems , Farley Follows his Nose by Lynn Johnston, Too Many Dogs by Lori Haskins , and Where’s Pup by Dayle Ann Dodds. All excellent.
Well, the weather outside is frightful and I need to go for a quick walk before bedtime! So, catch ya later.
Peace and love,
