Doggie Diaries XLXVII: Adventures at the Library
From Harpo’s Diary: Wednesday February 2, 2011
Hello! It’s the Big H, the goofiest PAL dog. I bounded into the library eager to give my favorite librarian, Miss Julie, a bit of love before moving on to kiss the kids. Of course I had to inspect the craft table and then have a peek at the snack counter. I know my way around the library quite well by now. It’s like my second home!
What an extraordinary week I have had. First, I was given a very, very extra-special rawhide bone. It was BIG. The bigger the better when it comes to bones. It was longer than a yardstick which makes going through doorways a bit of challenge. I had to do a special cha-cha-cha move to wiggle my way through without giving up the bone. Good thing I am a resourceful fellow! The second special thing about this week was the snow! Golly, do I love the snow. I love to play in it, to lay in it, and to pee in it (not necessarily in that order)! Hee. Hee.
I was ready to nestle in for some good stories at the library. It is my favorite wintertime activity. I heard Sally goes to the Vet by Stephen Huneck. (Note to my fans: I love going to the petsitter. The vet -- not so much) and Skunkdog by Emily Jenkins. I’m sure I heard more… but at some point I just closed my eyes and went on a little Harpo holiday. ..
Peace and Love,
The Big H (A.K.A. Harpo)
