Second Annual Haiku Poetry Contest

Japanese print with women and cherry treeThe Cleveland Park Neighborhood Library is pleased to announce our Second Annual Haiku Poetry Contest, to be held March 26 through the close of business on Saturday, April 9.

Enter an original Haiku poem, which will be posted in the library during the 2011 National Cherry Blossom Festival. To qualify, poems must follow the five-syllable, seven-syllable, five-syllable  pattern. Prizes will be awarded for the best poem submitted in the adult, teen and children’s categories, and the winning poetry will be published on the Cleveland Park Library website. Winners will be announced on April 14.  One entry per participant, please.
