Origami Princess Leia from Palisades Library Featured on Website

Palisades Library just acquired its five minutes of fame, as a Princess Leia Origami folded by Library Associate Jess was featured on the website of The Strange Case of Origami Yoda. This website is inspired by the book The Strange Case of Origami Yoda by Tom Angleberger. It details the escapades of a group of middle school students trying to find out if an origami Yoda folded by a student really does give advice using the power of the force. The website is home to Star Wars origami creations by fans of the book, and other information about Angleberger's books.

Kids from the library Art Club spent an entire Wednesday folding Star Wars origami, including the dastardly "Darth Paper" for entrance into a contest on the website. Their Yodas, Darth Papers and Origami Leias posed for pictures.
