Doggie Diaries: Adventures at the Library
From Ava’s Diary: Tuesday, March 29, 2011
In my entire life (4½ years), I have never worn pajamas. I observed the doggie in Pajamas Anytime by Marsha Hayles. Each time I turned the page, I noticed that the doggie was not wearing pajamas. And then, on the next to last page, he sports the cutest striped red-and-white pajamas! Oh, how I’d love to have a pair of those! I thought it would be fun to come to the library in pajamas like the children. The only problem is that I don’t have any. Fortunately, I am a clever girl and found a T-shirt that looked like a nightshirt. The only problem was that it was hot! I am willing to suffer for fashion only up to a point! So after Miss Julie read Ballerino Nate by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley, I slipped off my shirt and just kept on my PAL vest.
It was a happy evening at the Takoma Park Library. I enjoy being held, listening to stories, nibbling on treats and strolling through shelves of books. Tonight I heard Clifford’s Kitten by Norman Bridwell and Spike by Paulette Bogan.
I’ll be back again in a few weeks to do it all over again. Yippie!
