What We're Reading

The Georgetown Book Club, which meets at 7:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month, wants more book lovers!  This month, we will be discussing the classic Brazilian novel Gabriela, Clove and Cinnamon by Jorge Amado.  In May, the title is The Yacoubian Building by Alaa Al Aswany, which was recommended to us as a realistic novel about contemporary Egypt.   If you are interested in either of these titles, stop by the reference desk for a copy.

But we also want your input about what we should be reading.  Is there a genre or author that would draw you to the library for discussions?  Let us know at the reference desk, or e-mail us georgetownlibrary@dc.gov.
