Jazz Concert

Jazz musiciansJazz Appreciation Month (JAM) is ending soon, even though you should really celebrate America's music 365 days a year!

In honor of the music and the 10th Anniversary of Jazz Appreciation Month, help us celebrate by attending our Jazz Concert, Wednesday, April 27, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Sponsored by the  Smithsonian Institute's JAM Program, the concert will feature live jazz music by teen musicians of the Music Teaching Project All-Stars. This concert is for all ages.

After the concert, stay in the library for a jazz discussion. We will listen to jazz and talk about the music and noted musicians. You may even get inspired to write a poem for National Poetry Month. This program begins at 6:30 p.m. and is for adults.

We have a great selection of books, CDs and DVDs about jazz in our collection. Visit the library to learn more about America's music.
