Summer Reading

You are Here Banner

June is here already? Time to sign up for Summer Reading! The kick-off event at Northwest one is Thursday, June 2, from 4-7 p.m. There will be stories, crafts, snacks, face painting and more. Please come by to register your little ones (and your students, too!) anytime starting June 1 -- but especially stop in for the kick-off party. The theme for Children's Summer Reading is One World, Many Stories, and programming throughout the summer will represent cultures from around the world.

The teen program theme this year is You Are Here -- and this summer the program is entirely online. Tell the teens in your life to go online to register and keep track of their books and prizes. They can always come into the library and register on a public computer or with the librarian, too. Their final prize is a chance to spend a day with a professional in a field of their interest through our "Shadow Your Future" program.

For more information on programs and performers city wide, check out the Summer Reading page.
