What’s New at Cleveland Park?

During college, I once pulled an old nightgown out of a friend’s Goodwill bag and remade it into a blouse that I wore for years. I never failed to be complimented on it – it was pretty and at the time, quite unusual.
Perhaps you’ve looked at some of your old clothes and thought about repurposing them, but don’t quite know how. Well, here’s the book for you: Little Green Dresses by Tina Sparkles not only provides ideas, but also presents an excellent introduction to basic pattern drafting, using your own body measurements for a customized fit. If you’re new to sewing, construction methods are also included.
There’s lots of inspiration here, whatever your skill level. I’m going to try the Preppy Rectangle Skirt on page 77. Something cool for summer…
