Doggie Diaries: Adventures at the Library
|From Fenway's Diary: Tuesday, June 28, 2011|
What a sleepy boy! So relaxed and comfy at the library, my eyes kept closing. Snoozing on the job is okay for PAL dogs. We are effective and contributing even with our eyes shut.
When Miss Julie read a new book called Doggie Dreams by Mike Harrod, my case of the Zzzzs started. I showed some sign of life during Clifford’s Day with Dad and Clifford Goes to Dog School by Norman Bridwell. I felt quite renewed after my rest. There is nothing quite like a cool tile floor under your belly in the summertime!
My family and I went to North Carolina last week. Travelling can be tiring. Our journey wasn’t quite like The Berenstain Bears and Too Much Car Trip by Stan Berenstain. It was more like Road Trip! by Roger Eschbacher.
I usually sleep in the car. My traveling mates like to drink coffee and sing. I think they know all the words to every song in Songs for the Car and Let's Go!: Travel, Camp and Car Songs by Susie Tallman. Sometimes they insist I join them in a round of Take Me Out to the Ballgame. With a name like Fenway, that is to be expected, I suppose. I am usually a good sport and happily take one for team. I ruff, ruff, ruff for the three strikes you're out part!
Go Red Sox!
