Consumer Health Databases Seminar
Published on Wednesday, July 6, 2011 - 4:43pm
For health diagnoses and medical emergencies, your first call should always be to your doctor. But once you have received that diagnosis, or if you are curious about medications or supplements that you are taking, the National Library of Medicine (NLM) has a number of free consumer health databases that provide reliable, accurate, free information.
This hands-on seminar will introduce you to a number of NLM databases, including MedlinePlus, to give you the skills to find trustworthy medical information on the Internet.
The seminar will take place Friday, July 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Please call Emilie at 202-541-6226 with any questions.
