Calling all teen writers to come by Tenley for these Writopia Lab Events on Monday, October 3! Find out more about submitting your work for Writopia's Writing Awards, and learn how to get ready to write your college admissions essays.
6 - 7 p.m. - Learn about the Scholastic Writing Awards, the country's largest and most prestigious writing competition for teens. Participate in a mock judging session to learn what jurors value in submissions.
7 - 8 p.m. - Get started on College Admissions Essays with Writopia Lab Director Kathy Crutcher. Learn how to approach the essay as a creative writer and to produce unique, compelling, memorable pieces with a voice!
