November is a busy time for high school seniors. Many college early admission applications are due. The November and December SATs loom. Personal statements and essays have to be written and edited. At every part of the college application process, the DC Public Library can help students.
The Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library features a College Information Center that helps students find schools that interest them, complete applications, and understand the financial aid process. Every library location in the District has books that help students prepare for the SAT and learn about potential majors.
Students interested in preparing for college on their own can use the Library’s online options. Using services like Learning Express Library, students can create accounts, take practice SAT questions and learn test-taking strategies independently. In addition, the Library’s Live Homework Help service has tutors that can help students organize and edit application essays.
