Join us for our monthly adult book group meeting on Thursday, November 19, at 7 p.m.  We'll be discussing Travels with Charley: In Search of America, by John Steinbeck.  Copies of this book were given to the library by the National Endowment for the Humanities on the theme of "Picturing America."  To find other Picturing America titles, contact your local branch. 

Travels follows Steinbeck and his poodle, Charley, as they drive across America in a makeshift camper. In the book he recounts his observations of and interactions with the American people and landscapes he encounters.
