American Sign Language Storyteller

Saturday, December 5, 2009 - 12 p.m.

Books will be projected on a screen, page-by-page, as the story is told. Therapy dogs will join the kids. Come and learn how their owners use hand signals to communicate with the dogs. Also, learn about the Shared Reading Project, developed at the Clerc Center, with over 30 sites around the U.S. There will be goody bags for kids, information packets for parents and refreshments for all.

Guest: Lisa Jacobs, Director of the Gallaudet University Regional Center, Mid-Atlantic Region.

American Sign Language interpreters will be present.
