New West End Library
Library to anchor mixed-use project

The West End Neighborhood Library, at 1101 24th Street NW, will be rebuilt. The new library will be part of a mixed use project being built by EastBanc real estate development company. The design, by architect Enrique Norten of Ten Arquitectos, features a 21,000 square foot library on two levels, with eight stories of residential housing above.
The library will feature welcoming spaces for children, teens and adults. The library will have a large meeting room, two conference rooms and several quiet study rooms. The development also includes a cafe and underground parking.
