Veterans Day History Celebration

The DC Public Library is proud to host the third annual Veterans Day History Celebration jointly with the Library of Congress. Please join us as we honor the brave men and women who have sacrificed their lives fighting for their country and learn how their stories are being preserved for future generations. Presenters include the Women of FREED (U.S. African American Civil War Museum), Experience Corps, Model Cities Steppers, and the Veterans History Project (Library of Congress). Dr. Emory Tolbert, Professor of History at Howard University, will deliver the keynote address.
